Summer Series 4 – Race Results

The Dragons returned to their spiritual home of Shek-O for Race 4 of the Summer Series Tri's.
Shek-O offers us a lovely and scenic venue and provides for some challenging course options for our Race Director.
Considering we are still in the middle of the school summer holidays we had a good turnout of athletes. It was also nice to welcome many new members to the club and their first event with the Dragons. From everyone at the club, welcome and we hope you enjoyed the race and we'll see you at the next one.
The course at Shek-O for this race was slightly longer than usual. The swim in beautifully calm and clear waters was 100m longer at 400m. And then, cruelly, we sent everyone up the long Shek-O hill as well as up Cape d'Aguilar for the bike leg.
The run distance remained unchanged at 2.2km, taking runners from T2 out past the golf course up a short, but testing rise, before looping round the roundabout and heading back.
It was also nice to see some of the old rivalries again as athletes of very similar abilities tried to stave off challenges whilst also trying to pick up a place by reeling in the athlete in front of them. A little bit of friendly rivalry goes a long was to motivating you to push that little bit harder.
And as if doing all this once wasn’t enough, we sent everybody out to do it a second time - Why, because, 'That's how we roll'.
