Great Morning at South Bay for WWTR3

posted 11 Apr 2014, 20:03 by HK Dragons Triathlon Club
It was as though South Bay was wooing us to never leave when it turned on an ideal morning for the last Winter Warrior Race of the season this morning. Conditions were ideal and the water is warming as evidenced by the many Warriors who braved the swim "sans wetsuit"!
In true Dragons "pitch in" spirit, Adrian Dunner took charge and started the race when Committee Members Gibbo and Boomer decided on a detour through the Aberdeen Tunnel courtesy of an in depth conversation about storage units, kit orders and social functions distracting us from turn offs!
Fantastic to see 5 female athletes (Dragonettes?) taking part this morning. All have the first Summer Series Race at Shek O Beach May 3rd in their calendars as I am sure you do.
A big thanks to Matt Oswald who did the race timing this morning allowing for Committee to race as well- greatly appreciated Matt!
