The Dragon's Committee recently met over a hot cup of coffee and discussed how to effectively support the membership, you, during 2008. We have a number of things that we are going to try to do this year to make the club more effective. This will include organising the club shirt and club race kit well ahead of our main season start of April so that you will have it in time for the season's races. We will also ensure that we have a tick box on the membership form this year to allow for you to indicate if you want us to pass it onto the HKTriAssoc for membership to this organisation. This will allow you to join their swimming sessions at Wan Chai Pool and is required for some overseas events. We have also decided that 2008 will be the last year that memberships will fall due on March 31st. From the beginning of 2009, our membership will be for the calendar year and will fall due on December 31st to allow for members who wish to compete in international events prior to April who may not have been in Hong Kong in the previous season. To again make it clear. IF YOU HAVE PAID MEMBERSHIP IN 2007, IT IS VALID TILL MARCH 31ST.
We are investing in a new communication system this year so that we can see if your email address is invalid. This one does not tell us if it can't send to you. We will also try to pass a lot of the enquiry emails on to allow for the website to be updated on a more regular basis.
Some notes about activities:
We had advertised a winter series race on February 10th but we realise that this is during Chinese New Year so it will not go ahead. We are therefore looking at March 9th as the date of the first event. This is the weekend after the HKTRi Association Duathlon. More details to follow.

Masters Swimming
The HKIS pool (indoor + heated 25 meters) is open available for the Masters Swimming. There is an abundance of swimming equipment and a digital pace clock + car parking and hot showers.
Every Wednesday and Friday 6:30 - 7:30 A.M.
N.B. There will be swimming on even during public holidays.
Due to the hiring of the pool and lifeguards, the payment structure will be different this time.
Fees are payable quarterly in advance (2,400 for 3 months = 800 a month).
