The inaugural China 70.3 Ironman on Hainan has to be an event to appeal to many of us hopeless die hard Tri addicts.

I'm just wondering what HK Dragons are planning? Sonic are once again planning a mass attack on the event a la Singapore 70.3!

I'd rather travel and compete with Dragon buddies but have not seen anything on the web etc. Is anyone organising a group travel and accommodation plan?

If so, please reply here and we can get something happening.

I just moved to live to HK and I'd like to do the HIM in China, but I still cant find out where to train in HK. Is there a group that will train for this race? where do you ride, run and swim in HK island?

Don't know about Island side, but here in Kowloon, your running is around the TST waterfront and West Kowloon park, and riding is impossible unless you can arange travel out to Shatin or Tung Chung The police don't like you on the freeways. Swimming at Repulse bay or Stanley seems OK but avoid it after heavy rains, otherwise your local pool and all it contains will be your friend,

Many who did Singapore 70.3 Ironman last Sept 2, trained in the swimming beaches of Repulse Bay and Shek O. For cycling, there's the circuit in Tung Chung on the Cheung Tung Road from Disneyland to Chek Lap Kok Airport; Bride Pool's Road in Taimeitok, Plover Cove; Science Park, Taipo, Shatin.
