Hello.

As event coordinator for the 2007 Standard Chartered Ironman Korea in Jeju, I am writing to inform you on the upcoming event that is to be held on August 26th.

As you may already know, Ironman Korea is an international triathlon event that consists of three races, including swim (3.8km), bike (180.2km) and run (42.195km). This year, Ironman Korea will take place in Jeju Island, one of the most beautiful islands of South Korea, which is located far south of the Korean Peninsula.

The 2007 Standard Chartered Ironman Korea will feature a total prize purse of US$200,000, which is considered to be one of the largest prize money among the 29 Ironman series and triathlon races held all over the world.

I believe that this will be a great opportunity for the professional/elite athletes who belong to your Federation, and we would greatly appreciate it if you inform your athletes on this forthcoming event. Especially, this year a certain amount of the prize money will be allocated towards 5 different regions which will give the athletes greater opportunities towards attaining the prize that is to be given away.

Also, we are providing support for some professional athletes who are to take part in our event. If any of your athletes are interested please send us his/her resume by the end of the week for us to consider. We apologize for the short notice.
